About Me
Hi there – I’m Cate, the funniest, most innovative, clever, thought-provoking individual ever to grace the pages of a blog.
I’m also an incredible cook, wife, mother, assistant professor of English, equestrian, gardener, and arbiter of culture.
Needless to say, my poetry and essays have reached the New York Times Best Seller list.
Now then.
Add a great big guffaw to all of that. Whisk vigorously.
Fold in a snowstorm, books (the paper and ink variety), a small childhood on a Great Lake, NPR, the city of three rivers, tomato-basil soup, Polish hard-headedness, and all the continents, save Antarctica.
Let rise thirty-some years. Bake in a finicky oven located in a narrow, drafty southeastern Pennsylvania kitchen. (Ear-shattering dishwasher optional but recommended.)
Resulting peasant loaf will be warm and hopefully pleasing to the palate. (Recipe cannot prevent occasional cantankerous crust.)
Enjoy!

Love this!! Who says you’re not funny?!
Love your new format! How easy to find one of your recipes with just a click. Thanks!
Palate. Not palette.
